the craigslist mattress ownage
I consider myself a minimalist of sorts. I really don't need much to get by, and try to keep my number of possessions low. My preference is to Walden that shit. One day though, I checked out my room and noticed that my sleeping area was a bare mattress with a blanket on it. No frame, box spring, sheets or anything. How the fuck am I supposed to romance a chick on a crack den looking piece of shit mattress? I decided to buy a boxspring and a bed frame on craigslist. After negotiating with a potential seller, my friends and I went over to pick it up. She emailed me shortly after accusing me of trying to cheat her. Here is the conversation:

For the sake of the goodwill of the system, if you wish, I can come back and pay you the remaining $10. However you will have to accept it in the form of 200 nickels in an old gym sock because you accused me of trying to cheat you without even checking our email thread. I only live a block away from you so this is easy to arrange.
